The Sacramento Valley Women's Soccer League (SVWSL) is a recreational soccer league program for women 16 and older. League seasons run from September to November and from January to May. Two tournaments are held by the League, an indoor soccer tournament in December and The Valley Cup Tournament in May.
Purpose
The Purpose of this League shall be to develop, promote and administer the game of soccer as a recreational sport for women 16 and older, regardless of ability, within the territory of the League. The League believes that all women have right to play soccer free from discrimination or prejudicial behavior on and off the soccer field.
League Overview
The SVWSL was originally formed back in the early 80s and has served over three generations of female players. Each team typically plays 10 regular fall season games and approximately 12 regular winter/spring season games. The teams are comprised of various skill players and divided into different levels of open divisions or an age-restricted division.
The SVWSL is sanctioned by US CLUB Soccer as an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body for soccer in the United States and FIFA the world's ruling body for soccer.

Players, coaches and spectators shall model inclusive behavior, actively supporting cultural diversity while opposing all types of discrimination, including but not limited to racism.

SVWSL Adopts “Fair Play” in League supported events
“Fair Play” is a complex notion that comprises and embodies a number of values that are fundamental not only to sport but also to everyday life. Respect, friendship, team spirit, fair competition, respect for written and unwritten rules such as equality, integrity, solidarity, tolerance, care, excellence and joy, are the building blocks of “Fair Play” that can be experienced and learned both on and off the field.
